We have a wide variety of enrichment programmes at Longridge High Music Dept, the activities are open to absolutely everyone and all pupils and year groups are welcome to attend.
The different activities you can get involved in are Training Band, School Band, Rock School, Choir, A Capella and the School Production. These groups give performances on a regular basis along with soloists in our concerts and productions. It is a great set of activities to get involved in, you can build your performing skills, make some new friends and increase your confidence!
You can also opt to have lessons on an instrument at LHS, the instruments available are Drum Kit, Guitar, Bass, Singing, Piano/Keyboard, Trumpet/Cornet, Tenor Horn, Trombone, Flute, Clarinet and Saxophone. All our lessons are delivered by highly qualified experts from Broughton Music Academy (www.bmamusic.co.uk). These take place during the school day, and there is a charge for them. However, Pupil Premium students can apply for a discounted rate, please speak to Mrs Ward if this is the case. Some instruments can be borrowed from school for free if you are having lessons.
