One of the highlights of any school year has to be the school production, and this year didn’t disappoint!
Staff and pupils have been rehearsing over the past few months for the school’s production of Frozen, which was enjoyed by two packed houses over two nights. Directed by Mrs Handley and Mrs Ward, the cast excelled in their roles, transporting the audience to ‘Arendelle’.
Costumes and staging complemented excellent performances, with the audience singing along to many
songs, including ‘Let it Go’, which echoed throughout the school.
Mr Laycock and his stage crew provided superb lighting and sound, and this included a snow machine which added to the whole experience.
There were outstanding individual performances, with pupils from every year group taking part.
The catering team served Frozen themed treats, including, of course, ice cream and sorbet!
Mrs Handley and Mrs Ward spoke warmly of the great commitment shown by all involved, culminating in this wonderful show. The audience were effusive in their praise, and all look forward to the Summer Performing Arts’ show.
