At Longridge High we encourage all pupils to aim high and help each pupil to prepare for life after school. We will help and develop skills to prepare pupils for the world of work and ensure they are equipped with the skills employers are looking for. We prepare pupils by offering a variety of information, advice and guidance to help them make informed decisions about their future.

Our Independent Careers Advisor

Careers AdvisorCharlotte Ainsworth

My name is Charlotte Ainsworth and I am your Independent Careers Adviser from Education Business Partnership North West. Our aim is to raise aspirations, prepare young people for work and create meaningful encounters with employers, businesses and education establishments. I have been working within education, schools and further education providers now for 17 years. I have solely been delivering careers advice and guidance for the past 8 years having moved from a further education outreach role where I was advising school leavers. Alongside this, I was also giving careers advice and guidance to college and adult learners. I am a fully qualified careers guidance professional and hold a Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development. I am able to pass on my knowledge as well as the contacts that I have built up over the years to help young people progress onto their next stage of education and employment. I am passionate about raising the aspirations of young people to be the best that they can be. Each student will get a dedicated appointment to see me on a 1-2-1 basis where we can talk about their post 16 options to ensure they make an informed decision about their future. I am based in school every Wednesday. If you would like an appointment, please see Mr Wright/Miss Lovatt. Alternatively, visit me in your break or lunchtime.
