We are looking for an outstanding, enthusiastic and creative qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 2b) with high expectations and a positive outlook to join our SEND team in raising standards for our learners. We require an organised individual to support identified pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities to enable them to access the curriculum. Knowledge of developments in education and the KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum is desirable along with good interpersonal, communication and listening skills.
Responsibilities will include supporting identified pupils in a variety of lessons, working with the subject teacher to provide a high-quality level of support for individuals within the group. There will also be opportunities to support pupils during registration and at lunchtimes in our Homework Hub. The successful candidate will have a passion for learning, for young people and have high aspirations and expectations of themselves and our pupils. They will be hard working, flexible, a great team player and also be able to use their initiative. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENco).
