It’s been a very busy end to a very busy school year!

Sports Awards

Kicking off on Friday 10th July with our annual Sports Awards which celebrates the sporting achievements of our pupils across the year. This year introduced a new award, the Jane Green Award for Sporting Excellence named for Mrs Green as she begins a well earned retirement.

Rewards Assemblies

Quickly followed on Tuesday 14th July by the Year 7 to 10 Rewards Assemblies where each Pastoral Leader leads the Form Tutors and pupils in highlighting the achivements of their year group in every subject, attendance, house points, postitive points and form prizes.

Pupils with 97% Attendance, no referrals, no exclusions and an average of 3.5 or higher on their progress checks receieved their Platinum Stars!

Sports Day

The 15th July was our Sports Day where the houses of Beacon, Fairsnape and Parlick competed across track and field events. For a full run through of the day check out our coverage of the day.

Enrichment Day

The 16th July saw pupils taking part in 4 activities around school. We had Runaway Club performing in the hall, with our very own pupils performing as opening acts! Zorbs on the Astroturf, Old School Sports day on the field and East Block was turned into the Challenge Arena.

LHS Fest

From 6pm onwards on Thursday 16th July our pupils took to the stage for LHS Fest featuing solo acts, bands, musical theatre performances and dance.

The Last Day

Despite only being half a day it was still a packed day for everyone.

The day started with a whole school assembly where Fairsnape where presented the house points trophy for their incredible 6847 house points this year!

The pupils then had 2 sessions where they took part in a Word Cup Quiz in their forms and Karaoke in the hall.

GCSE Results Day

The last event of the 2025/26 school year is GCSE Results Day taking place on the 20th August in the North Block Dining Room. All Year 11 pupils are invited to recieve their results.

September 2026

We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7s into school on the 3rd and 4th September. Year 8 to 11 are back in on Monday 7th September as we start the 26/27 school year.
