The new joint beekeeping club between Longridge high school and Barnacre Primary school got off to a fantastic start this week. Students suited in full bee suits before enjoying a hands on experience with live honeybees, handling frames covered in bees and exploring the inner workings of a honeybee colony. The session provided a unique opportunity to connect with nature and discover the importance of pollinators, with many of the students leaving the session buzzing with excitement and a newfound appreciation for honeybees and the natural world.
